How are house prices doing in Barcelona?

According to a new report of idealista.com the prices of second hand houses in Barcelona have risen about 2.1 % during the last 3 month. The price per m2 is currently standing on average about 4791 Euros. This means that the rising of house prices went down compared to the last trimester and it is expected that the annual rising of 18.3% in 2004 and 15,2% in 2005 won’t be repeated this year.

The report also shows that during this period in none of the districts the price was falling. In Sants-Montjüic, Nou Barris and Sant Andreu it was even rising about more than 5%.

In contrast, the more expensive districts like Sarriá/Sant Gervasi (0.7%), Eixample (2%) and Les Corts (3%) show the slowest rise in prices.

In the most expensive district Sarriá/San Gervasi the price per m2 now is about 5597 m2, while in the cheapest district Nou Barris it is standing about 3850 Euros/m2. This is also the only district where the price per m2 is lower than 4000 Euros.

In conclusion you can say that the prices are still rising, but in a slower rate than in the years before.
