Formerly a recreation associated with the British, that overlapping mealtime between breakfast and lunch has now infiltrated itself into the Barcelona community. Whether it’s a restorative meal you’re after or simply a lazy breakfast, brunch is the best way to start the day. There is a wide variety of Brunch bar’s in Barcelona, but here are three of our favourites!
Milk: With a distinctively whimsical feel and a menu that will have you salivating, Milk is a great place to go if you’re looking for classic dishes such as American pancakes, full English breakfasts or the ultimate hangover cure, huevos rancheros. You will often find people queuing out the door of this establishment but not to worry, as their sister restaurant Marmalade is just a few streets away.
Bar Celoneta: For those with specific dietary needs, Bar Celoneta is a great option as it offers both vegetarian and vegan options at the buffet so nobody is left out! The aptly named restaurant is located near the beach in Barceloneta, a great spot for when you want to take a post-meal stroll along the beach.
Café Veranda at the Hotel Arts: For a truly indulgent buffet experience including made-to-order crepes and omelettes, a visit to Café Veranda is a must. The excellent selection of food, from shellfish to shortbread is beautifully displayed and topped off with a glass of cava.
