Located in a perfect little square in Barrio Gotico, hidden from the masses of tourists; Bliss Restaurant is a hidden gem in Barcelona.
The first thing you notice is the extremely friendly and welcoming staff. They will do their best to help you, whichever county you come from. The place is nicely decorated and the atmosphere is cozy. You can either sit outside in front of the church, or choose to eat inside. In the restaurant they also expose changing artwork that can be bought.
The food is simple and fresh. The menu may be limited but the meal I ordered, which was the dish of the day, was very tasty. Be careful not to miss the veal carpaccio and Iberian ham, as well as the creative desserts and selection of wines.
The average price is €25 a head for starter tapas, main dish, wine or beer and coffee.
Even if you do not stop here for food, it is a great place to have a coffee and recharge batteries before continuing your sightseeing tour.
