On the other hand, Barcelona is only 2 hours from the Pyrenees,\u00a0giving you the option of ski weekends during the winter and fabulous hiking during the summer. From canyoning to horse riding, there is a vast array of activities to do as well as nature to explore.<\/p>\n

4. Food<\/h2>\n

However, when people think of Barcelona, the first thing that comes to mind is tapas<\/a>. Walking through the Catalan capital, it seems that every other storefront is a tapas bar, with some streets being wholly dedicated to them. It would take a lifetime to try every single one, yet rambling along these streets buying a copa at each is one of the best experiences in the city.
